A Conversation with Ruby

What drew you to the Family Health Clinic?

I have tremendous respect for the staff at the Family Health Clinic and feel so lucky to be a part of the team. After completing my practicum with the Clinic, I held on to my goal of one day being a part of this team.

What are you most looking forward to about working at The Family Health Clinic?

I quite enjoy the community collaboration of the Family Health Clinic with other local programs. It is important to me that the surrounding and current communities can participate in.

What is your favorite part of your job?

I’m a school-based therapist with the Family Health Clinic for Carroll County schools. I enjoy being back in the school setting only giving more attention to the mental health needs of the kiddos I service.

Why do you think the Family Health Clinic is important to the local community?

The Family Health Clinic is so important to this community because they focus on ways to better serve their residence. Families in rural communities deserve the best quality of care and I can see the positive impact they are making.

What made you choose your specialty of Behavioral Health?

I enjoy working in this field, because seeing the differences and the positive change that comes from treatment is very inspiring. It is my goal to bring the sunshine back into people’s lives and hearts.

Is there anything else you want to share about yourself?

I am a busy mother of three; two boys (7 & 6), one girl (4 ½) and a dog. I enjoy spending time with my family and going on adventures. I enjoy working out, sports, and signing up for obstacle 5Ks. I am an avid reader and documentary viewer.

Ruby, we are so happy to have you as part of the Family Health Clinic!
