We’re excited to welcome Noemi Mendoza to the Family Health Clinic team as our new Outreach & Enrollment Assistant! Noemi brings a strong public health background and a passion for community-centered care, and we’re thrilled to have her working directly with our patients and community members.

Education & Professional Background
I have a Bachelor of Science in Public Health and a Master of Public Health (MPH) with a concentration in Family and Community Health from Purdue University. My academic work focused on designing interventions to improve preventive care, advance health equity, and empower community members to become active participants in their own health.
Through my studies, I gained a strong understanding of the complex factors that influence family and community well-being, and I’m excited to apply that knowledge in a real-world, community-based setting.
What Drew You to the Family Health Clinic?
I was drawn to the clinic’s mission of providing equitable and patient-centered care for all, which aligns with my core belief that healthcare is a human right. I was inspired by the opportunity to move public health theory into practice and work directly with families in the community to help connect them to critical healthcare resources.
What Are Your Duties as an Outreach & Enrollment Assistant?
My primary responsibility is connecting patients and community members with the healthcare coverage and services they need. I provide one-on-one guidance to help individuals understand their health insurance options and assist them throughout the application process.
My role also extends beyond insurance navigation. I actively engage with the community to raise awareness about the services the Family Health Clinic provides, partner with local organizations to reach underserved populations, and help connect community members to a broader network of social and support services.
What Are You Most Looking Forward to at the FHC?
I’m most looking forward to building relationships with the patients and community members served by the Family Health Clinic. I’m excited to apply my skills in education and outreach to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, and I hope to become a familiar and reliable resource so community members feel empowered to take charge of their health.
Why Are Health Services Like Those at the FHC Important to Our Community?
I believe the health services provided by the Family Health Clinic create a strong foundation for community well-being and resilience. In rural communities especially, these services are essential not only for supporting individuals, but also for helping them thrive in their daily lives.
By managing chronic conditions and preventing health crises, the FHC helps protect the people who make our community what it is.
Noemi will soon be available to assist patients in Monon and Wolcott. Appointments can be scheduled with her by calling 800-321-5043 (Option 1). You can learn more about our Navigation Services by clicking here.
