Your Guide to the 2026 Medicare Open Enrollment

By The Family Health Clinic Team

Medicare Open Enrollment is October 15 – December 7, 2025!

Medicare Open Enrollment is the time for people with Medicare to review their health care needs and decide if a different plan may offer better coverage or lower costs for 2026. Using the Medicare Plan Finder, you can compare Medicare health and drug plans, Medicare Advantage, and Medigap policies.

If you’re happy with your current plan, you don’t need to re-enroll—but it’s still recommended to review your coverage to be sure you’re getting the best value.

Extra Help May Be Available

Low-income seniors and adults with disabilities may qualify for Medicare Savings Programs (MSPs), which help pay Medicare premiums and may also cover deductibles, copays, and coinsurance. Enrolling in an MSP can free up money for other necessities like food, housing, or transportation.

Interested? See the graphic for the 2025 income and asset (cash/liquid assets) guidelines. You can also visit this website for more information, or schedule an appointment with a Family Health Clinic Insurance Navigator.

We Can Help!

The Family Health Clinic has two certified State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) Counselors/Insurance Navigators available to guide you through the enrollment process, compare plans, and answer questions. This free service is open to anyone—you don’t need to be a patient with us. SHIP Counselors are not insurance agents; they’re trained by the Indiana Department of Insurance to provide unbiased, impartial assistance—empowering you to make confident decisions about your health coverage.
